A Law Professor Calls Victoria City Hall "Soft Corruption" which could be defined as favoritism, undisclosed lobbying, conflict of interest, lack of democracy, transparency, and governance.  Elected officials do not represent the public interest.

Living in Vic West during the Bayview Place II rezoning convinced me to run

I saw firsthand how the process and outcome failed to match what residents had been promised. I reviewed the record, traced the approvals process, and concluded that City Hall had abandoned its role as an independent steward of the public interest.
